• We're only 2 days from Fun Meet and can't wait to see some racing. Please RSVP as soon as you can whether attending or not so we have a good idea of the size of the event up front. This may just be us-against-us, but it's an important part of the season -- particularly for anyone hoping to swim for points. RSVP will close tomorrow at 2:00pm. Can't wait to see everyone there!
• We've had a few questions this week about weather policies. Generally, we practice and compete rain or shine except in the case of lightning/thunder. In the event that we do have to cancel, our primary method of communicating is via the SwimTopia app. So, be sure you've installed the SwimTopia app and have configured it to deliver push notifications on your device. Also, if you've been waiting on that SwimTopia Pro subscription, now's the time to start it. We use an electronic timing system during our meets which will send near-real-time updates to your phone so you can follow your swimmers time, meet scores, upcoming races, etc. during the meets.
• We will be distributing swim caps for all the swimmers and merchandise for those who ordered in April at the Fun Meet. That will be part of the normal check-in process.
• New parents: If you haven't taken a minute to look at the Tidal Waves Handbook, you might find it useful prior to the meets on Friday and Monday. It talks a bit about things you can expect there.
• We will be in touch by Friday morning with full meet day details. Show up time will be 4:30 and warm ups will start at 4:40. The meet will start at 5:30 and we expect to be done somewhere in the 8:30 range.
