Meet Info: Fort O at Home & Important Parking Info

Tomorrow, we will be hosting Fort Oglethorpe at OSC. Here are the meet notes:

    • Heat Sheet: Fort Oglethorpe at Home
    • The meet will start at 5:30, and our warmup will start at 4:30.
    • Critical Parking Note:
      • PLEASE do not park in the spaces in front of or directly to the side of Fit One.  Last meet, there were cars parked in areas beside and in front of Fit One where we are not allowed to park. The management of that facility was understandably upset that their customers had nowhere to park. We have no way of knowing if these cars were from our team, the visiting team, or if they weren't swim family cars at all.  We need all Tidal Wave families to please review the meet day parking map our our website. It may sound like a small thing, but our ability to host meets at OSC depends on our ability to provide ample parking.  We depend on the pool's business neighbors to share their parking with us for a few nights per year.  We have lost our parking privileges with a couple of those businesses over the last few years and can't afford to lose any others.  If we lose parking, we may be forced to travel for all of our meets or drastically reduce the size of the team.
    • General Parking Notes:
      • Do not park in the main lot south of the pool until after 5:00 so our visitors have first crack at the 'easy' spots due to their unfamiliarity with the quirks of our parking situation
      • Do your best to minimize space between vehicles when parking in the unlined lots so we can maximize our available area
      • Do not park in the small grass area between the OSC main lot and the road in front of the pool house
      • Do not park in the main lot south of the pool until after 5:00 so our visitors have first crack at the 'easy' spots due to their unfamiliarity with the quirks of our parking situation

That's all for now. Heat sheets and any additional notes will be emailed tomorrow afternoon. If you've signed up to volunteer, details on that will follow on via email separately.
