RSVP is Open for City Meet 2026

    Tidal Waves,

Believe it or not, we have to start thinking about City Meet entries already even though it seems that we just started our meet season. The meet is July 10-11 (Fri & Sat) and will be held at the Fort Oglethorpe City Pool.

The City Meet Championship is a lot of fun for swimmers and parents. If you haven't been before, it's a unique environment somewhere between swim meet and music festival and is hands-down the best swim meet of the year.

Remember that all of your fees for City Meet have already been paid in your registration. We want to make a big splash and take as many swimmers as we can. There is no restriction on the number of "point swimmers", so every swimmer has a chance to swim any event, with the possibility of placing in the top 16 which earns points for the team. Let's sign up as many Tidal Waves as we can to DEFEND the BLUE DIVISION TROPHY!  But please, only sign up if you intend to participate. We pay meet fees based on sign-ups, not who shows up.

    Here's how it works...

10 & unders swim a morning session each day that ends around lunch time. The 11 & ups swim the afternoon session each day beginning around lunch. If your swimmer places top 16 in any event with finals (noted below), they come back for finals (around 5:00) in the evening. Additionally, top 8 relay teams come back for finals as well. The participants are introduced to the crowd before each event. It can be a big thrill for your family! Because each day stands on its own, you can swim just one day of the meet as well.

A swimmer can swim a maximum of 5 individual events over the 2 days. You can choose those for your swimmer. If you are unsure, ask your swimmer's coach, and he or she can give you guidance. The coaches will choose which swimmers swim in relays. We will likely enter multiple relays per age group (depending on number of swimmers in a given age group). So if you have been swimming relays at dual meets, there is a good chance you will swim relays at City Meet.

In order to sign up, we are asking that you log in to our website, go to the Schedule page, and click the Meet Entry button next to "2026 Bill Caulkins City Meet". This will open a screen where you can click Edit (at the bottom) and pick your swimmer(s) and then choose the individual events they will swim.

******Remember to select only 5 events across the two days of the meet -- not 6. Do not forget to click "Save Entries" on this screen.*****

All swimmers must have a seed time for any individual event they intend to swim at City Meet. If your swimmer(s) does not have a seed time for something they would like to swim, please speak to the coaches about getting timed in practice by the entry deadline.

The team deadline for entries is Monday, June 22 by Midnight. We will take care of submitting entries to the league by the host team's deadline.

Per CASL rules, we need to provide 5 timers per session because of the size of our team -- check our volunteer jobs signup for City Meet. Additionally, we will be needing “relay” parents to help in the 10&under age groups. We usually ask for a parent to take charge of getting their own swimmer’s relay to the coaches, so be looking for an email City Meet week about asking for help on those.

Thanks and we hope to see all of our Tidal Waves at City Meet Championships!
